This is the first time in many years that I evoke the memory of the first time I saw this indescribable being... I was eleven then, and I caught an extrange kind of mumps that left me on bed for many weeks... then, a good friend of mine brought me some old books he found in his dead father's collection.
He doesn't know, but between those books were some old papers, ruined by the years, containing the writings of an old, mad man, describing some of the most extrange creatures I ever known... when I finished reading this notes, I believe this was just a perverse joke of my friend, or the insane work of a fantasy writer... but then the dreams begun, and with the dreams come the knowledge, and the visions of unknown cities, in wich the creatures lived theyr lives as if they were normal lives... and for long time I studied about this beings, reading Lovecraft and occult books, trying to say if it was true or just dreaming... and the dreams finally dissapear...
but...
few days ago, I received an unsigned letter... containing this old, corrupted notes of an old, mad man that opened to me the gates of forbidden knowledge... and the dreams come back again... so I've started to draw and write about them again... and perhaps, in future years, some young boy will find my draws between some books, and burn them as I should do when I had the opportunity.

I think that's the look of most of Lovecraft creations: rugose, squamous, totaly alien and insane!
Thanks for your comment. I have to do some Lovecraft inspired painting sometime... I'll post it here when I finish it, so I hope to give it this squamous feeling too...
Great drawing (and weird story)! This is the best interpretation of an elder thing that I have seen so far!
Btw, I Also made some Lovecraft-inspired paintings (and I planned to paint that old one next, haha).
wow! the description is just brilliant! the words of a poet! I was thinking this looks like an Elder Thing from Lovecraft's books... I'm adding this to my favourites!
