Heavy Boarding Infntry dessign

Pencil on drawing paper

This is the solution that the militar engineers have met to the new problem of how to defeat high armored flying ships strong enough to resist the attack of the now obsolete dirigible airships: board and attack them from the inside.
Carried by the new and faster Pegasus air transport (dessign in process...), this brave soldiers jump directly on the deck of the flying ships, being too small to be aimed with cannons, and armoured enough to ignore Gattling guns. They may easily take charge of the crew and enemy infantry with their steam powered Gattling guns, and probably disable the ship without problems... or try to go back to the remaining Pegasus transports before the ship explodes in the air!

Some technical information:
1. Reinforced steam motor powered with the new, fabulous energy source recently discovered by our engineers: concentrated phlogiston. This new element, pur solidified heat, allows a small boiler with more temperature, but without huge coal amounts. One or two drops of concentrated phlogiston make the engine work for several hours.

2. Small electric headlights to fight in smoke, vapor, darkness...

3. Steam powered Gattling gun adapted to the right arm. The arm and the gun could be fixed for better aiming and fire, and the ammunition is protected into an armoured box behind the gun. The Gattling is feeded authomatically with a simple gear device.

4. Heavy hydraulic claw, capable to crush the steel as if it was thin paper.

5. Heavy weighted boots, to keep the soldier and the armour on their feet!

All the armour weights around 150 kg (330 pounds), so it has a complex hydraulic system powered by the steam motor to make it work.

WARNING: This model hasn't been tested on the field yet! It isn't improbable that the boiler could have some leak, and there are some explosion risk. Use this device under your responsability.

Thank you!

Unfortunatelly, I haven't seen Steamboy yet (I must admit I'm not a great anime fan), but I'll try to watch it as soon as I find it... I've seen some pics of the movie and I find some interesting designs and details. Thanks for the comment!!

Steamboy's great (typically for anime rather exaggerated however, but it doesn't trouble), I also love the designs in this anime, especially the giant British dreadnaught (you'll see). ;)

You're welcome :)
